 You're a first aid kit Your body is cold and soothing Inside you have everything to heal me Syringes filling my veins with soft promises Plasters stopping my invisible wounds from bleeding Bandages lessening the pain And your breath is hard candy For the unpatient patient I am It is sweet Endearing Until I notice It's the sweet reek of death And it is numbing It's wrong The hard candies are splinters Drilling into my soft skin Into the limbs you've deadened With your bandages Ropes Until I notice Your plasters are rum-soaked Your syringe full of nothing But hot air Killing me from the inside My body assisting You're a first aid kit
